Pulling in a deep breath, Shane Rourke glanced down the street again, and tried his hardest not to fidget. Still, every once in a while he reached up to make sure his mask was there, and adjusted his umbrella. His long gray rain coat covered his blue dragon shirt except for a small slice in front, and his shoes were wet up to his laces. The rain made its way to Earth in a light drizzle (Thank God, heaven forbid it be pouring, and get him instantly soaked to the bone instead of gradually), and a bit of a cold draft blew in from the salt ocean, but otherwise it would be a beautiful night in his hometown of Star City. Shane sighed, and shifted his weight to his heels. A glance at his watch told him that she still had five minutes, but that didn't make anything better. Whose idea had it been anyway to stick him and Tigress together on a mission? Obviously someone who either just didn't notice the fact that Ragnarok didn't get along well with her, or thought that this was a way to get them to bond. Shane personally was betting on the former. It wasn't entirely the mission dispatch's fault- It wasn't like Ragnarok and Tigress advertised their... slightly dysfunctional friend enemyship, or whatever it was, or even really mentioned it out loud. They had met probably four years ago, so pretty early on in Shane's association with the Justice League and friends, and from the start had been pretty indifferent to one another. Not like he absolutely loathed her; in fact, he really didn't mind working with the fiesty lady. It was just that she could be so cold, and that drove his paranoia batty with theories (No puns intended). Not to mention that before, when they had been part of a team together, it was with others. This time it was just him and her. What would hold her back from betraying him now? She could probably slit his throat and leave him to die somewhere as easily as breathing. Now, the whole mission would be spent probably looking over his shoulder. Yup, he was a useless hero, one that could never make up for- "Alpha, get out of my head!" Shane growled, clapping his free hand to his head and squinching his eyes shut. He had no reason not to trust the blonde, she seemed to be a nice person deep inside and she has proven her loyalty as a hero to the League many times over. Concentrating on Greg's voice, he found momentary peace and opened his eyes again to take a glance at the abandoned side street.@tigress

Artemis huffed, the last thing she wanted to do tonight was run around with Ragnarok. He was a good guy and she knew she could trust him but her personality just didn't match up to his. She lived in a world of fighting and her family was that way, so it was only natural that the girl was defensive about thing. Strapping her mask on Tigress left the watch tower and was in Star City in no time. She then slipped in to a building across from the zeta beam, their was her bike, it was a new color that matched her uniform. Smiling the girl ran her fingers along the bike and slipped on to the seat.
Turning on the bike she drove down the street until she came to the edge of the building where the man was standing. Placing the bike in park she looked up at him. "Ragnarok." The girl wasn't displeased to see him but she wasn't to thrilled as well. "Do did they brief you on the mission, because they sent me in blind." The girl huffed. She didn't like when the league did that but sometimes they had to do what they had to do and she understood that for the most part. The girl pushed down the kick stand on her bike and waited for the man to answer. She would have to say, her orange costume looked good in the rain.

It wasn't long before there came a roar down the street, and none other than Tigress herself pulled up on a motorcycle color-coordinated to her costume. Though he felt a strong sense of angst at seeing her, he nevertheless had to smile a bit at her orange and black bike. Any other man would have shaken their head and marvelled at a woman's need to match everything, but a mental condition did a lot for a man's perception of behavior that would otherwise be feminine. Shane was impeccable when it came to picking garments that matched perfectly. It made him surprised sometimes, but he did, almost unconsciously.
"Tigress." He returned the greeting in a similar tone to hers, nodding his head, and then slowly inhaled and exhaled a large breath. The fact that she was annoyed with the League's lack of communication to her made him tense a little, but he shook it off quickly. He shouldn't be too hard on her. Everyone had their demons; he was no exception to that. Also, he would admit freely, he'd rather be at home right now, with his feet up, watching TV or something. Shane answered her question about briefing as clearly and pointedly as he could. "Yes, of course. I'll be happy to briefly explain." Wouldn't know where to meet her, let alone what I was doing, if I hadn't been briefed. As she nudged down the kickstand with her foot, Shane reviewed really fast all that Batman had told him, and only opened his mouth when her full attention was on him. "Down by the waterfront, about a mile from here, there is a warehouse, F-19, that since last month has been swarming with activity. Armed goons patrol it, and shady figures go in and out on a consistent basis. Not just your everyday shady figures though- Scarecrow and Penguin are just two of several. This is obviously a big villain stop, and the League wants to know why. Our job is simple: get in, figure out what's going on inside, and get out."

The woman listened him, her full attention on him like a hawk. As he spoke about the mission she nodded, that was until he spoke the name of Oswald Cobblepot. The girl crossed her arms and huffed. "You sure the bat didn't say not to kick a few heads in?" the girl spoke confident, "Cuz we could totally kick heads in." The last time she had a run in with the bird man he lifted her up and ruined the first half of her date, not to say that his staff didnt already ruin it. Though on the side of action and sneaking she would much rather have an action packed night then a walk in the park with Ragnarok. It was mostly because walks in the park were not her style.
"Good thing I brought the re-breather, its a good thing to have when playing with the Scarecrow. Ragnarok do you have one? if not Nightwing gave me a few extra." The girl pulled a few out of her pocket and offered the man one. "It's good for water, and gasses." the girl looked down towards the water, part of her wondered why the two villains were in this city and not in Gotham. The other part just wanted the night to be over, after all she was trying to find a new place to move in to. The woman pushed up the kickstand and looked at him. "I know a short cut." she then looked down the road and saw the waterfront. "Do you have a ride or I could give you a lift." She then looked at him with a genuine smile that was actually something she gave to her fellow team members.

"He didn't explicitly tell me that we weren't supposed to kick anyone in the face, so I suppose that if it happens, it happens." The look on Shane's face turned sly, and his eyes narrowed. Like Artemis he was a man of action. Missions like this annoyed him to no end. Knowing himself, and sort of knowing her as well, this wouldn't go anything like what Batman had envisioned. Had he thought of that? The question nagged at the back of Ragnarok's brain. "No, I don't. Thanks." Shane took the re-breather from her and studied it for a moment before slipping it in his front left pocket, the opposite side that his knife was on. If Scarecrow did happen to be there and he used one of his many noxious chemicals, they had a way to defend themselves against it. Negate his expertise in that area, and he was just a normal man. Shane took so much comfort in that thought. Some villains he didn't dare even approach because their powers made him useless.
Briefly Shane considered flying alongside her, but quickly put that idea out of his mind. She would outdistance him in a heartbeat. "Hate to ask for it, but I'll be glad for the lift." For the last few months he had been thinking about buying himself a motorcycle, but had held off on it mainly because he had been busy with work and heroing. The few thousand he had been saving for the purpose still sat in his bank account, waiting. He made a mental note to look into it tomorrow when the mission was finished. Her smile was largely comforting, though Alpha still screamed doubt about whether it was truly genuine. Hesitantly, he offered a similar one back. "Well, shall we do this?"

She couldn't have been happier to hear that he was some what ok with beating some faces in. The blonde haired girl waited for him to get on the bike then once he was safely on she sped off towards the docks "Let's start a riot." Tigress pushed her bike down a large hill that lead strait to the docks, The speed of the bike grew faster and faster til it seemed like she wouldnt be able to stop, but before the two could actually hit the water the bike stopped with a quite squeal. Artemis couldn't tell you how long it took to get the bike to sound that quite.
Slipping off the bike she pulled out the small cross bow from the hidden compartment and placed it on her person, along with a few other items. The tiger was ready to pounce on her prey at any given moment. Looking at the man she wondered if he had a plan because if he didnt she did. Though her plan was more of a lets split up tactic. Though the girl was team leader, she could still lead small missions but part of her hoped that Shane had a plan for tonight.

No sooner than Shane had hopped onto the bike, than they were off, barreling toward the warehouse. Before long, Ragnarok had a large smile on his face. This was most of the reason why he wanted a motorcycle, not just because it would be infinitely faster over short distances than flying. When they came to the hill, the speed at which she took it was breathtaking. Shane probably would have gone into it faster, actually; he just probably wouldn't have been able to stop at the bottom. What might have been a very loud moment that could have blown their cover, instead was strong testament to Tigress's skill, even with two people on the bike, and her guest being quite a bit heavier than her. As she grabbed her crossbow, Shane felt in his pocket for his knife. He had a feeling that he'd need it tonight. Taking it out and flicking it open, he inspected the blade for a moment, and satisfied at its sharpness, in an equally effortless motion flicked it closed. He was just sticking it back in his pocket when she glanced at him. Plan? Her eyes almost seemed to say. Shane eyed the shadowy form of the dock warehouse in the dark distance and motioned that they should take a closer look before deciding what to do first.
Minutes later, they were hiding behind some old crates, about one hundred yards from F-19. There were three armed men at the entrance, two talking in low voices while one kept watch. Turning to Tigress, crouching behind him, he kept his voice down to a barely-audible whisper. "Three stiffs, two are talking, but anything out of place will alert them. I don't think that we'll have to deal with them, though; If I remember right, all of these dock warehouses have a back door, that only opens from the inside. I doubt that they're watching it, since its pretty hard to open from out here. Should we try it? I have a credit card in my pocket." Growing up as a lawyer's son in Star City had its advantages.
