Be Respectful
Everyone should be afforded a certain amount of respect on this site, especially if you expect it of others. You don't have to be "super-nice" to everybody, but at the very least, be civil to everyone, especially folks who you don't particularly care for.
Be Positive
A creative atmosphere should be a positive one, and its up to our users to foster it, that means you!
Don't be over-critical
Constructive criticism is something that should always be welcome. That means that when you criticize someone's work, don't simply say things such as, "it sucks!" or "you suck!" but something that is truly and sincerely helpful. This also means that if you intend to be open to criticism, you must be open to all of the positive criticism, and not be defensive over something that you don't think you did wrong.
No Bullies
0 tolerance. Period.
No Slurs/Racism/Sexism/etc.
This is pretty straight-forward, and if someone tells you that something you said offends them in some way, just stop. On the flip side, if you constantly are being offended, you should probably consider your own "limitations" as far as things like profanity can go.
Keep it PG-13..... So to speak
While in RP we exercise a "fade to black" rule for scenes which would be considered too mature for a PG-13 rated movies and such. While we can stretch pretty far with violence and profanity, we still ask that you avoid going totally overboard with it.
Respect that canon, though
The show's canon, and to a somewhat lesser degree the comics as well, takes significant precedence over what the players want, as of current. That is to say, if your character has already appeared, or said character wasn't present at an event in the comics, a player cannot overwrite these events. Later this may be subject to some change, but as of now, primary canon for events prior to the site's current ones will always be referred to as what's correct.
Respect the characters
This one should also not be tough. Your characters are people too, and you shouldn't abuse them for the purposes of some weird/sick fantasy. Seriously, if it's out of character, don't do it.
Certain Leaguers
Some members of the Justice League (such as Superman, Batman, and Wonderwoman just to serve as several examples) will not be playable throughout the entire duration of the site's plot. Therefore, anyone wishing to play as them, would only be able to do so on a temporary basis, with these characters not being playable as the plot dictates to be necessary.
Clones, The Future, and The Past
Some characters in the DCU don't fit as tidily as others do in the Young Justice Universe. Specifically, most of the time travel (exempting the Legion) and cross-universe characters don't really have much of a basis for existence in this universe. Therefore, there will be certain strides taken by the staff to ensure that as many of the DCU characters as possible are available for play on this site.
On Post Length
We would like to think that there's a certain lax nature among our staff as to how long your posts need to be. It does need to be enough that it responded to the post of the other players in the thread, while making a sufficiently detailed enough sequence in the reader's head. 300 words is usually a good number, but we won't strictly enforce any minimum counts unless it gets out of hand.
Ocs Everywhere!
OC characters ARE allowed on the site, so long as they fit the flavor of our world.
Activity
We require a moderate amount of activity from our role-players, and when we get a reasonable number of them, or if we feel that too many players are dwindling in their posting habits, we will put out activity checks.
God-Modding and Power Playing
This is a universal basic of all RP sites. The power isn't the character, and you can't control other people's characters.
Claims*
All Claims must be done before you can role play. If you do not add claims and you star role playing your thread will be locked until you are done with claims. The only reason we ask you do this is for both you and your characters security. Face Claiming your characters play-by is important because you don't want some other character running around with your characters face, Who's Who is one of the most important because it tells everyone who you are and who you play. The Shoutbox doesn't tell us who you are OOC so the Who's who is important. Also the Canon List. ALL CHARACTERS WHO ARE NOT OCS SHOULD BE CLAIMED ON THIS CLAIM. Point of the story, do your claims so we can have a fun time.
